About the Accommodation

A spacious 3 bedroom Townhouse with stunning views and all day sunshine on the terrace

Fully licenced Holiday Home - VFT/GR/03422

CASA MIA is a beautiful and spacious, air conditioned townhouse in the historic San Miguel area of Almunecar. With 1 double and 2 single bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, top floor kitchen and dining area and 3 terraces which provide fantastic views of the town and the Mediterranean. Both terraces are ideal locations for outdoor eating. The perfect location and holiday home for couples and small families.

CASA MIA is located in the 'Old Town' of Almunecar, only a 200m walk to the charming shopping streets and the beautiful Town hall Square. The square houses a number of restaurants and bars all providing the traditional Andalusian FREE tapas with all alcoholic and soft drinks. A short walk from the square is the seaside promenade and many more restaurants and bars, serving traditional Spanish cuisine.

This holiday home is in a great location to experience traditional Spanish living with the interior having been very tastefully decorated by the owners with a great balance of Scandinavian and Andalusian styles.

This holiday home is professionally managed by Costa Tropical Holiday Home Services who provide 24/7 support throughout your stay.

The holiday home is designed as most town houses are – over 3 floors, with a final external staircase to the roof terrace. It’s from here that the most stunning views can be seen. And although a traditional town house, the interior is rather spacious. An ideal location to enjoy the seaside/beach holiday or to use as an exploring base to nearby other touristic destinations such as Granada, Sierra Nevada, Alpujarras or the nearby Nerja and Frigiliana.

From the historic street of Angustias Moderna, you enter the house into the reception area. Within the reception area is a flat screen television, sofas and a ‘through the house’ music system. The lounge also houses an under stairs toilet and wash hand basin. Walking through to the air conditioned bottom floor single bedroom, you pass the beautiful and spacious shower room. The bedroom external door, leads to the first terrace. A 20m2 dining/relaxing area with great views of the town and the Mediterranean. The first flight of stairs leads to the 2nd single bedroom, the main shower room and the large double bedroom. The double bedroom has a full length window, offering beautiful town and sea views. Both bedrooms are air conditioned.

The 2nd internal stairwell leads to the top floor kitchen and dining area……. Again offering fantastic views. The kitchen is fully equipped to ensure that you have every utensil you require for a self-catering holiday. The spacious top floor dining area is a unique feature of the holiday home, beautifully designed and decorated to provide the ‘tranquillo’ ambience expected in an Andalusian town house.

A stroll to another of the outside terraces houses the external staircase to the roof top terrace….. From here, you get the most spectacular views from the house. You get 360o views of the mountains, the town and the Mediterranean. An ideal location within the house for outdoor alfresco eating, utilising the gas BBQ and the different seating positions available.

There are a number of beaches available, which are within a 400m walking distance from the holiday home, Playa Costa Tropical, Playa San Cristobal, Playa Caletilla and Playa Velilla. All are well served from the nearby cafes and restaurants. For the families with children, the Aqua-tropic water park is a fantastic day out.

The A Express bus (Line 75) leaves from outside the T3 arrivals area. When you exit the airport through the terminal 3 arrivals hall, turn to the right and go outside into the square. Just in front of the exit is a small kiosk where you should buy the bus tickets if you don't already have one. The buses stop at the far side of this square. The buses are every 20 to 30 minutes from 07:00 until 24:00 (from the airport) or 06:25 until 23:30 (to the airport). The journey time is about 30 minutes, but the buses are comfy and air-conditioned.

Car Rental

If you rent a car at Malaga airport it is very easy to get out and on to the motorway to Marina Del Este. Head out of the airport (there is only one way out) and you will join the M23. Stay on this road until you join the M20 in direction: Motril and Almeria. You are then on the AUTOVÍA del MEDITERRANEO (A7). Carry on following the large blue signs to: ALMERIA, CORDOBA, GRANADA and SEVILLA the A7/E15 and A45. Several kms further on after leaving Malaga - the motorway splits to the right to Granada, Cordoba and Seville (DO NOT take this) but follow signs straight on for ALMERÍA and MOTRIL. This motorway follows the coast all the way to Almunecar. Leave the highway at the junction 305 sign posted for Almunecar Oeste and La Herradura. This road is the N340a which will take you into Almunecar.
